Canada Day 2019 Reception

As the representative of Saint Mary’s University Alumni Hong Kong Chapter, Jimmy Ho was very much grateful to be invited to the Canada Day 2019 reception which was held on Thursday, 27 June 2019 at the Ballroom of JW Marriott Hotel in Admiralty.

At the reception, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (CanChamHK) had a booth in the Queensway Room. The Chamber is a proactive extensive networking platform for members with business interests in Canada, Hong Kong and Mainland China. More than 30% of CanChamHK’s current members are alumni of Canadian universities. One of CanChamHK’s main focuses is on education and professional development, and the membership committee is planning initiatives to help alumni associations gain more exposure in the Hong Kong market.  I had a quick chat with Janice Mak and answered her questions about our alumni chapter here in Hong Kong.

Consul General Jeffrey Nankivell delivered a very impressive trilingual speech.
A list of Canadian University Alumni Associations in Hong Kong was on display.

After a sumptuous buffet dinner of Canadian food and beverages, all the guests received a gift pack on their way leaving the venue. In addition to a generous samples of four Adrien Gagnon supplements sponsored by CK Life Sciences Int’l (Holdings) Inc., there was also a bag of Dolce sweet mini peppers inside, which were very palatable for making salad. Thank you very much to all the sponsors!

The Canadian greenhouse vegetable produces were sponsored by Windset Farms and can be purchased from YATA supermarkets locally.
