A Hiking Tour with Dalhousie Alumni in Hong Kong

In the middle of January 2017, the committee received an invitation from Peter Chow who was then the Chairman of Dalhousie University Alumni Hong Kong Chapter to join them on a hiking tour to Dragon’s Back (龍脊) which is a part of the Hong Kong Trail. This trail is suitable for beginners while offering some very rewarding views. The tour took place on Sunday, 19th February and Mr. Harold Ho, representing the SMU alumni in Hong Kong, joined them for a walk.

Here’s a group picture taken on that date.

The second person from left in the back row is Mr. Harold Ho, representing the SMU alumni in Hong Kong.

Peter also intends to invite SMU alumni for more joint functions in the future; one of which is the Dragon Boat competition. This may pose a challenge to many of us, as it is required to practice at least several times before one can actually participate in a competition.

For those who are interested in rowing a Dragon Boat as a sport, there was a recording of a radio program (in Cantonese) on the MetroRadio Finance channel in early 2017, interviewing Mr. Arnold Chung of the Hong Kong China Dragon Boat Association.
