A Halifax Delegation Visiting Hong Kong in June 2017

A Halifax delegation led by the Mayor of Halifax, Mr. Mike Savage, visited Mainland China and Hong Kong in June 2017. The delegation also included the President of St. Mary’s University, Dr. Summerby-Murray, Vice President of Halifax Partnership, Ms Nancy Phillips, and others.

A dinner reception with the delegation from Halifax and SMU alumni residing in Hong Kong was held on Wednesday, June 14 at Le Menu Restaurant, Gloucester Luk Kwok Hotel in Wanchai. We were very much grateful that the Consul General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao, Mr. Jeff Nankivell, also attended the dinner gathering.

Dr. Summerby-Murray was the first one of the delegation making a speech.
